United Way of Chester County is seeking volunteers to help our youngest students achieve academic success.

The United Way of Chester County and the Chester County Intermediate Unit have joined forces to launch a new program called UNIFY (United Neighbors Impacting Families and Youth). This program will help expand early learning opportunities for children ages 3-5 in the Coatesville Community at the Gordon School.

Caring volunteers working with preschoolers have the power to help kids start school ready, boost academic achievement and put young students on track for a bright future.

There are many ways to get involved. Individual and group opportunities include:

  • Assist with teacher guided activities in the classroom
  • Greet volunteers and direct them to their station
  • Share your expertise or hobby with students
  • Host a school supply or book drive
  • Help create a vibrant learning environment – painting, prepping
  • Plus much more!

To learn more, join us on July 20, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Gordon School Library – 351 Kersey Street, Coatesville or call Mary Anne Feeley, Manager of Community Engagement, United Way of Chester County 610-429-9400 or maryanne.feeley@unitedwaychestercounty.org.
