Cerner to add 250 new jobs
Cerner Corp. plans to expand and create 250 new jobs, the company said Monday, August 8 after government officials announced funding for work that will bring new jobs to the Great Valley Corporate Center.
The company in February 2015 bought what had been Siemens Medical Solutions, which specialized in developing and maintaining electronic medical record systems. Originally, the operation in eastern Chester County was Shared Medical Systems, or SMS, a home-grown company.
Cerner describes itself as the world’s largest publicly traded health information technology company, providing leading-edge solutions and services for health care organizations worldwide.
