Girls Exploring Tomorrow’s Technology (GETT) is a chance for female students in grades 5-10 to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in an exciting, hands-on setting.
Techies Day brings high school students into employer sites so they can learn about technology careers and discover opportunities available in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
What’s So Cool About Manufacturing Student Video Contest is a project initially designed by the Dream It Do It PA organization and carried out in Chester County by the Manufacturing Alliance of Chester and Delaware Counties (MACC/DC). Two minute videos are created with GoPro Camera kits by high school groups at local manufacturing facilities. The videos capture what’s “so cool” about a company’s products, workforce, and technology. The contest culminates with an Awards Ceremony where schools are recognized for different award categories.
Career Showcases in manufacturing, health care, smart energy, IT, and agriculture take the classroom on the road. Students at all levels have an opportunity to explore a variety of local businesses and learn first-hand about career education path.
