CCEDC Welcomes Katie Poppiti
We are pleased to welcome the newest addition to the CCEDC team — Katie Poppiti!
Katie serves as the Agricultural Program Coordinator and, along with Jodi Guaker, will work with AgConnect members and partners to develop, market, and deliver programming to help farm and agricultural businesses grow throughout the region.
Prior to joining the CCEDC in June 2015, Katie worked as an Extension Educator for Penn State Extension in Chester County. She worked primarily with the mushroom farm community developing extension programming with industry partners in IPM, food safety, and consumer education. She also delivered 4-H youth outreach programming in animal science.
Katie is a graduate of Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences where she studied Economic & Community Development and Environmental Science. She is completing a Master’s in Sustainable Food Systems from Green Mountain College in Vermont (August 2015).
Katie is also an avid equestrian and currently rides with a dressage trainer in Unionville, Pennsylvania.
