Last year, 3,112 students in grades 6-12 participated in career exploration programs organized by the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC). These events and other youth initiatives are supported in-part by contributions made through the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. This year, we have once again been approved as an eligible Education Improvement Organization (EIO) to receive EITC contributions.

Funding through EITC supports our Innovative Technology Action Group (ITAG) program which provides in-depth, hands-on career exploration experiences for thousands of youth each year. Programs include Girls Exploring Tomorrow’s Technology (GETT), Techies Day, career exploration showcases, and more.

Your company can receive tax credits equal to 75 percent of your contribution, up to a maximum of $750,000 per taxable year (and can be increased to 90 percent of the contribution), if your business agrees to provide the same amount for two consecutive tax years.

We know that your organization is interested in associating with organizations that reflect your company’s values and help build a strong community. That is why we hope you will consider making a contribution to ITAG through the Chester County Economic Development Foundation, which will enable us to facilitate career exploration programs that help students make critical career decisions that will ultimately help our workforce of tomorrow.

Please take advantage of this win-win opportunity and invest in our important programming for young people while achieving tax savings for your organization. Together, we can continue to provide opportunities for the community’s young people and keep Chester County, Pennsylvania, one of the most desirable counties in which to live, work and play.
