CCHCP Hosts ‘Best Practices Across the Continuum of Care’
The annual Southeastern PA Healthcare conference, held June 29th at Main Line Health’s Lakenau Medical Center, focused on industry updates and best practices throughout the health care community as well as the challenges in the constantly evolving health care environment.
Barbara Wadsworth, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Main Line Health, gave the keynote address on the 212 philosophy and a presentation was given by Patty Knecht, Director of Practical Nursing Program at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, on Hidden Bias in Diversity. Health care workers from over 30 employers in the region attended breakout sessions and networked with peers.
“This annual Healthcare Best Practice Conference is not only a strategic opportunity for members of the health care community to share information and network but supports two major goals under the County’s VISTA strategy,” said Gary Smith, CCEDC’s President and CEO. Attracting and developing a strong workforce for healthcare organizations in our region, as well as expanding the healthcare industry so that it continues to have a strong and positive impact on our County’s economy.
This conference was sponsored by Main Line Health Systems, Kendal-Crosslands Communities, Villanova University College of Nursing, Rite Aid Pharmacy, Dansko, LLC, Jennersville Regional Hospital, and Hire One.
