SBA to Provide Small Businesses Impacted by Coronavirus Up to $2 Million in Disaster Assistance

For businesses attempting to apply for the SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loans, please be aware that the system is experiencing an influx of requests that can slow the application process. The following link continues to be the most efficient way to begin the application process, and Seedcopa + SeedcoDE is recommending it to borrowers:

As of this writing, Pennsylvania and Delaware have not been declared to be eligible disaster areas yet, but applications are in process.

Monday, March 16, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 impacts and challenges facing all of us, and to maintain the health and safety of our team and the community, the CCEDC office will be closed at least through March 27, 2020.  As a result, all public events scheduled between now and Easter have been cancelled or postponed, and updates will be posted daily on our website.

Our staff will be working remotely and available to answer any questions you might have about an existing service or program.  In addition, we are working closely with our partners at the County, local Chambers, and regional economic developers, to assess the critical impacts to your businesses and workers, and to identify possible strategies and resources to assist you.

Thank you for your patience as we work together through this difficult time.

To the Valued Members of our Community,

We have been monitoring the rapidly changing landscape of Coronavirus-related news and CDC recommendations and have decided that, in the interest of the health and safety of our guests and the entire community, we will be making the following changes:
.
  • The Business Achievement Awards Dinner has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2020.  The venue will remain the Foundry in Phoenixville and the 4:30pm start time remains the same. There is no need for you to re-register, just mark your calendar for the new date. In an abundance of caution, we have also identified a secondary backup date of June 10.
  • All public events and facility rentals through April 12 have been either postponed or canceled.
  • All meetings with external constitituents will be canceled or shifted to virtual meetings.
  • Our offices will remain open but some staff may choose to work from home in order to pratice social distancing.
  • We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation on an ongoing basis.
  • Please monitor this page for additional updates.
Sincerely,
Gary W. Smith, President & CEO
