Jodi Gauker as Agriculture Program Manager
Exton, PA – The Chester County Economic Development Council has named Jodi Gauker as its Agriculture Program Manager.
“Agriculture plays an important part in Chester County’s business community,” said Gary Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Development Council. “Jodi has the experience and background to help the farmers and others associated with the industry. We’re looking forward to working with her in her new position.”
Gauker was an Extension Educator in the Start Farming program for Penn State Extension. She coordinated a team of 11 professionals to develop, market, deliver and evaluate business planning and food production courses for aspiring and beginning farmers. While at Penn State, she also was involved in many livestock industry-related clubs and worked at the Penn State Beef and Sheep Centers.
She is a graduate of Penn State with a degree in animal sciences and also Texas A & M University where earned a graduate degree in agricultural education.
Gauker has won a number of honors for her work in agricultural activities and is a member of the National and Pennsylvania Associations of County Agricultural Agents.
