Monday, July 29th 2013
We are proud to announce that Marybeth DiVincenzo, the CCEDC’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, has been honored by the March of Dimes as one of Chester County’s Women of Achievement for 2013.
From the Daily Local:
“DiVincenzo joins Dolly Wideman-Scott, CEO of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County and Patricia Yoder, maternal-child health supervisor for the Chester County Health Department, who have also been tapped as honorees. According to the March of Dimes, the women are “nominated by their peers and selected based on their involvement and outreach in making Chester County a better place to live and work.”
They join some notable women who have received the honor over the years. That list includes Madeleine Wing Adler, former president of West Chester University; Judy DiFilippo, longtime Tredyffrin supervisor; and Claudia Hellebush, president and CEO of United Way of Chester County.
DiVincenzo’s background includes teaching and working at the Chester County Intermediate Unit, but it was her position in community relations for a pharmaceutical firm where she said she really started to learn the about “making the connections between business and (a) community’s strongest interests.” And whether it’s through her work on various advisory boards, aiding community groups in obtaining corporate funding for projects or in her helping to establish the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Academy in Downingtown, DiVincenzo believes that links are what make things happen.”
