Neighborhood Assistance Program launches in our region

The Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) and Kutztown University Small Business Development Center (KUSBDC) have been approved by the PA Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to manage a local Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP).

NAP is a tax credit program that encourages businesses to invest in projects which improve distressed areas.  Projects under NAP must serve distressed areas or support neighborhood conservation in one of the following categories: affordable housing programs, community services, crime prevention, education, job training or neighborhood assistance.

With funding for NAP received from National Penn Bank and TD Bank, CCEDC and KUSBDC will support the Coatesville Regional Entrepreneur and Training Endeavor (CREATE) program in Coatesville by presenting a 10-week series to help existing business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.  An informational session about the series will be held on Thursday, February 18 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Coatesville Public Library.
