Pennsylvania Unemployment Dips to Six-Year Low

“The state Department of Labor and Industry’s report on unemployment and job creation in November contained good news Friday about the workforce, but a concurrent report showed employers adding few new jobs.
The Pennsylvania unemployment rate fell from 5.4 percent in October to 5.1 percent last month, as the number of people who were unemployed fell by 22,000 and the number who had jobs rose by 27,000 as the labor force grew by 5,000, presumably with people entering the job market to accept offers. The figures, which are seasonally adjusted to allow for a month-to-month comparison, came from the labor market report based on a survey of households.”
