Seedcopa names John Powers as Credit and Operations Specialist

Commercial underwriter John Powers joins Southeastern Economic Development Company
EXTON _ John Powers has joined the Chester County Economic Development Council to serve as Credit and Operations Specialist for its Certified Development Company affiliate, the Southeastern Economic Development Company of Pennsylvania (Seedcopa). Powers comes to Seedcopa with over 20 years of SBA experience, most recently at National Penn Bank.
With the addition of Powers, Seedcopa’s staff now has a combined 50 years of SBA experience. Powers’ duties at Seedcopa will be focused on underwriting, loan structuring and portfolio management. Powers is a graduate of Kutztown and Bucknell universities with degrees in business administration and commercial lending.

Seedcopa also offers consulting on government-guaranteed financing to local financial institutions entering the federal loan arena but seeking expert advice on program guidelines. Seedcopa provides these services through a network of partners, consisting of over 40 banks and credit unions, 14 county economic development organizations and numerous professional entities, such as law and accounting firms, and commercial brokers.
