Coatesville Train Station
In collaboration with Chester County, CCEDC is leading a Transit
Oriented Development (TOD) project that includes a new train station
for the City of Coatesville, a key component in the revitalization of its
downtown. In addition to the new station, the project includes the
conversion of the existing station building and streetscape improvements
on ird Avenue (the connector to downtown).
e Coatesville Train Station project is part of a larger effort to upgrade
and enhance the Amtrak stations on the Keystone Corridor from
Harrisburg to Philadelphia. Amtrak’s Keystone Corridor stations in
Chester County serve almost 400,000 riders annually.
Route 1 Economic Development Initiative
Led by CCEDC, twelve municipalities, five subcommittees and over
100
individuals are working to reduce the impediments to development
in a well defined corridor that stretches from Kennett Township to
West NottinghamTownship.

Morphotek
Morphotek invested $80 million in a new, 60,000-square-foot
pilot manufacturing plant for the production of biological-based
therapeutics to support its early-stage clinical trials. e facility is
located in Pickering Creek Business Park in Exton and triggered
the immediate hiring of 23 new employees.
Route 29 Slip Ramp
e new Route 29 exit from the Pennsylvania Turnpike will
provide convenient access to business centers in Great Valley,
Malvern, and along the Route 202 Corridor. is aerial view
