Serving Businesses, Solving Problems
Chester County and the surrounding region are fortunate to have a diverse economy that spans many sectors. At CCEDC, as an economic development organization, we offer targeted support for industries that are key drivers of our economy and hold promise for our continued prosperity and job growth.
Working closely with our public and private partners, including the PA Dept. of Labor & Industry and the Chester County Workforce Development Board, CCEDC developed and implemented five Industry Partnerships (IPs), using the Commonwealth’s Next Generation Industry Partnerships model, to serve businesses in Chester County and the region. These include advanced manufacturing, agriculture, energy, health care, and information technology.
IPs bring together business, education, and economic development and industry associations, around the common purpose of improving the competitiveness of a cluster of companies, focusing primarily on their workforces. The IPs leverage the resources of the partnership to help address common industry challenges such as developing human capital, accessing business financing and resources, and developing innovative responses to emerging business trends and opportunities.
